PZCP approves first half-yearly budget 2011-12

Provincial Zakat Council Punjab (PZCP) has approved its first half yearly budget 2011-12, under which Rs 877.992 million will be released for educational scholarships, health and marriage grant, technical education and leprosy patients. This was decided at the 136th meeting of PZCP held under the chairmanship of Provincial Secretary Zakat & Ushr Imran Nasir Khan, here on Monday.
Member Provincial Assembly Sakina Shaheen Khan, Administrator Zakat Punjab Muhammad Yousaf Butt, Deputy Administrator Zakat Field, Rana Muhammad Sajjad Babar, Maulana Raghib Hussain Naeemi, Hafiz Fazal Rahim Ashrafi, representatives of Social Welfare and local government departments were also present.
PZCP had approved an amount of Rs 41.6 million for 12,454 deserving students of 102 Deeni Madaris of 12 districts of the province. The council also gave approval of Rs 94.4 million for 79,663 deserving students studying in 1685 schools, colleges and universities of 16 districts of the Punjab province.
