Minor fluctuations in modest trade on grain market

Prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Saturday amid modest trading, dealers said. On the cereal side makai inferior type was higher by Rs 125 to Rs 2225 while the best type retained the overnight level at Rs 2250, wheat old and new Bardan were quoted at Rs 2680-2695, they said.
On the grams side, grams 50x50 were up by Rs 100 to Rs 5200-5400, other items did not show any change in process of thin trading, they said. On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh shed Rs 25 to Rs 3100-3200 due to falling demand by foreign buyers, they said. Only one change was witnessed on the seed side, cottonseed oilcake with bag low type was unchanged at Rs 950 while the best type dropped Rs 60 to Rs 990, they said.
