KARACHI: A local court on Monday sent eight personnel of Anti Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) on physical remand for seven days in 19-year old Intizar Ahmed murder case.
The police produced Inspector Tariq Mehboob, Inspector Azhar Ahsan Rizvi, head constable Ghulam Abbas, head constable Shahid, constable Fawwad Khan and others before the court and sought their physical remand for questioning.
The investigating officer submitted that the suspects’ were required for interrogation of the murder.
Accepting the police request, the court allowed the police to keep all the suspects with them for seven days and sought progress report from the investigating officer in the next hearing.
Intizar was allegedly shot dead by the ACLC personnel on January 14 as he reportedly he did not stop his car despite signaling from them.
