BEIJING::A 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit waters off the coast of Peru at 5:18 p.m. Sunday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter was monitored at 15.7 degrees south latitude and 74.72 degrees west longitude. The quake struck at a depth of about 20 kilometers.
