The Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) on Sunday claimed to have detained over 50 suspects in separate search operations in various areas of the metropolis. According to sources, the police and frontier constabulary conducted search operations in Pak Colony, Bara Board and Old Golimar areas from where they detained over 50 suspects. Police said the operation was launched over intelligence reports.
They said that at least 30 suspects were in custody, while the rest of detainees were released after formal interrogation. They said that no weapon was recovered during the operations. Meanwhile, the Sindh Rangers also conducted raids in different area of Karachi including Lyari, Saddar, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gadap, Orangi and Jamshed Quarters and detained 13 suspects with weapons.
