President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Yaqub Khan and Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed hosted a lunch in honour of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani here on Saturday. The lunch was attended by members of AJK Legislative Assembly, leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Pakistan Peoples Party. Mian Manzoor Wattoo, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan and Turkey's Ambassador to Pakistan also joined them.
Gilani arrived in the AJK's capital on a day-long visit to inaugurate a series of development projects and announced several new others, on the sixth anniversary of the tragic earthquake in 2005. He inaugurated Mirwaiz Maulvi Farooq Shaheed medical college, Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital and the Government Boys Model High School in Muzaffarabad. He announced 2,000 new jobs in AJK Police Department for an improved security system. He also announced the establishment of an IT university in Rawalakot. He directed to implement the project of constructing Muzaffarabad-Kohala-Lower-Topa Road.
