Punjab University appeals chief minister to take notice of IJT hooliganism

The activists of Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) have threatened the Punjab University (PU) administrative officials of dire consequences during a meeting in the PU Emergency Centre which was in progress last night to discuss security issues. Senior administrative officials and faculty members were present during the meeting.
In the meantime, the IJT hooligans including Atif Gujjar, Haris, Tayyab along with their 30-35 accomplices managed to enter the meeting room and started threatening and making noise. The activists said they will see the varsity security guards and no one will be left alive. Threatening the officials and faculty members, they said today's night would be decisive. Their accomplices were carrying weapons, rods and batons outside the Emergency Centre.
They left the Emergency Centre after threatening the officials but came after half an hour again. The hooligans said to the officers that they have come to know that the administrative officials were going to register an FIR against the labourers and students but the officials would have to face results of dire consequences. PU Core Committee has already appealed to the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of Jamiat hooliganism in the varsity and instruct authorities concerned and save the peaceful academic environment of the varsity.
