Food Department official killed, son hurt in Quetta

Unidentified armed men killed Food Dept official and injured his son and a pedestrian on Kasi road in the provincial capital on Friday. "Unknown gunmen riding a motor-bike opened fire at Food Dept official Idrees Ahmed and his son on Kasi road," police said adding that resultantly, the official was killed on the spot while his son identified as Aizaz Ali and a pedestrian Saeed Ahmed were injured.
The assailants managed to escape from the scene. The wounded were rushed to the civil hospital. Police rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area to trace the suspects out. Further investigation was underway.
