KSE saw outflow of $31.264 million in two months

An outflow of $31.264 million of foreign investors'' portfolio investment (FIPI) was witnessed from the Pakistan equity market during the first two months (July-August) of current fiscal year. "The foreign investors remained on the selling side during the first two months of current fiscal year due to their concerns over declining trend in the global capital markets and deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi," analysts said.
According to National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) data, an outflow of $11.593 million of foreign investors'' portfolio investment (FIPI) was seen from the country''s equity market during August 2011 while about $29.671 million was withdrawn in July 2011. The Karachi share market witnessed declining trend and the benchmark KSE-100 index lost 1,422 points during two months.
