The profit after tax of Adamjee Insurance Company has increased to Rs 317.859 million in the half year period ended June 30, 2011 as compared to Rs 298.689 million earned in the corresponding period in 2010. The company's earning per share increased to Rs 2.57 in the period under review against Rs 2.41 in the same period last year.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Tuesday recommended an interim cash dividend for the half-year ended June 30, 2011 at Re 1.00 per share ie 10 percent. According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's profit before tax increased to Rs 430.685 million in the half year period in 2011 against Rs 385.918 million in the same period in 2010.
