Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that killing of innocent people during Karachi violence is highly condemnable and PML-N delegation would visit the metropolis soon to meet all stakeholders for the cause of peace.
He was talking to media at Karachi Airport, Haj Terminal after visiting Badin district on Saturday. Speaking about his visit to Badin district, he informed that 30-truck loads of relief goods have been donated for the rain and flood victims. He said Karachi is the economic hub of the country and gateway to Pakistan, and the elements which are involved in violent incidents be dealt with iron hands.
Shahbaz Sharif said action be taken against miscreants without any discrimination. All political parties should point out the miscreants with their unity, he added. He said the bloodshed in Karachi in the holy month of Ramazan is against the spirit of Ramazan. The Chief Minister Punjab said the government should immediately take all possible steps to establish peace in Karachi.
To a question about creation of more provinces, Shahbaz Sharif said in case it is needed, more provinces be formed in the country on administrative basis and in view of problems of the masses. The basis for creation of more provinces be clearly determined, he added.
He told another questioner that the governments are formed in accordance with laws and constitutions. It is right of every government to complete its constitutional term, said Mian Shahbaz Sharif. Forming and breaking the government is function of the parliament, the Punjab Chief Minister said. He told another questioner that Pakistan is a country of 180 million people and decisions in the country be made in accordance with law and justice.
