Message from President of Pakistan

I am extremely delighted to learn that the "LCCI Achievement Awards" started in 2005 to recognise the efforts of the business community of Lahore for the promotion of trade and investment, has now entered into the seventh year of its successful happening besides achieving the status of the most prestigious business gathering of the country.
Since its very inception, the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been playing a very vital and dynamic role for achieving the goal of progress and prosperity. Following the principle of good governance, this regime has managed to bring down the official spending. The continuous support and co-operation extended by the business community have significantly improved the health of official revenues that gives me an immense satisfaction.
It is my firm belief that impact of these ever-improving economic indicators would soon reach the masses that would ultimately help decrease the gap between haves and have-nots. I pay my profound gratitude to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Its superb guidance and support that enabled the government to follow the tough decisions it has taken from time to time. It gives me great pleasure to recognise that our businessmen are writing new success stories with their sheer commitment and dedication despite all odds. I am sure the entire business community will work hard to cope with new challenges.
I offer my sincere congratulations to the President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr Shahzad Ali Malik, Senior Vice President Sheikh Mohammad Arshad and Vice President Sohail Azhar for outstanding services, vibrant and effective role they have played for the promotion of Pakistan's image.
