Government to provide modern educational facilities to children: minister

Provincial Minister for Labour Haji Ehsaan-ud-Din Qureshi has said that government is implementing a comprehensive programme for providing modern educational facilities to the children.
He said that Daanish School programme of the Chief Minister Punjab will not only help in this direction but will also open up new avenues of progress and development whereas poorest of the poor students will also avail modern education facilities through the project of Daanish School. South Korean makes in the top five countries in the world by any measure, with 100 percent rate of literacy, they are number one in per capita Ph.Ds in the world, he added.
While talking to a delegation of private university Haji Ehsan Ud Din Qureshi said that we must make our people 60 to 70 percent of the people who are out of the net. Add another 10-15 percent of the Urban people. We must make our people aware of their circumstances, he maintained. The minister said that the circumstance is that they are members of a nation - A nation that has been placed by geography in a strategic location in Asia.
Haji Ehsaan-ud-Din Qureshi said government is implementing a comprehensive programme for providing modern educational facilities to the children. He said that during the previous tenure of government in Punjab, implementable reforms were introduced in the education and examination system under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. He said that under the reforms, booti mafia was eliminated and ghost schools had been first identified and then closed.
He said that all government schools will be given the status of English medium schools this year while Punjab government has also lunched a vigorous campaign for primary enrolment and more than 30 lakh children have been given admission in the schools so far as a result of this campaign whereas hundred percent results would be achieved by the end of this campaign.
