116 POs held in Swabi

Swabi police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 116 proclaimed offenders and recovered caches of lethal weapons, drugs from their possession. DPO Swabi Mohammad Ijaz Khan told media men that district police during crackdown arrested 116 proclaimed offenders from different areas of the district.
Police also recovered 12 hand grenades, 30 meter fuse wire, 13 Kalashnikovs, six Kalakovs, 48 guns, 290 pistols, 4,203 cartridges of different bore, 20 kilograms hashish, 1,500 grams heroin and 11 bottles of liquor from their possession. Meanwhile, traffic police challaned 4,800 vehicles on violation of traffic law and recovered Rs 1,000,000.
