Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has finalised all arrangements to expand its Foundation Assisted Schools (FAS) programme in seven new districts to accommodate poor students by providing them free quality education in their areas. This was stated by Chairman PEF Raja Muhammad Anwar while presiding over a departmental meeting of Programme Directors and Project Officers to review the pace of expansion of educational programmes at PEF Board Room on Wednesday.
Managing Director PEF, DMD (Operations) and DMD (Finance) were also present. Raja Anwar said that PEF was rapidly making inroads in new districts where it would provide quality educational facilities through interventions like Education Voucher Scheme, Foundation Assisted Schools and the New Schools Programme. The FAS programme will be launched in seven new districts including Khanewal, Sahiwal, Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Gujranwala and Kasur.
