Sindh government may likely to notify Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) as full-fledged department of provincial government within next couple of days. Official sources told Business Recorder on Tuesday that this decision was taken during a high level meeting held at Chief Minister's House a few weeks ago. Later, SRB Chairman Nazar Hussain Mehar has moved a summary to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah in this regard which was approved a few days back.
Services and General Administration department is working to fulfil some formalities and the notification would be issued within next couple of days in this regard, source told. Sindh Government had established SRB after the passage of Sindh Revenue Board Act 2010, by the Sindh assembly. It was working under the Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah while, it was co-ordinating with Finance and S&GA departments regarding the financial, administrative and many other issues, sources further told.
With issuing of notification, SRB would work as provincial department and it would be anonymous regarding the financial and administrative issues, sources added. Sources concluded that Finance and S&GA departments had taken some serious efforts to take SRB under their administrative control but these efforts went useless after said decision.
