Government College University Lahore is going to open its intermediate (first year) admissions from August 3, 2011 (today) which will remain open till August 10, 2011 (Wednesday). GCU Registrar Professor Anjum Nisar said that no admission form will be entertained after due date while the first merit list will be displayed on August 15, 2011 (Monday).
He said that GCU's last year minimum merit for admission in FSc Pre-engineering was 972 marks, Pre-medical 961 marks, Intermediate Computer Sciences (ICS) 901 marks, F.Sc General Science 820 marks, Intermediate in Commerce (I.Com) 857 marks while admissions for Intermediate in Arts were closed at 806 marks in 2010.
Professor Nisar said that GCU this year is also offering admissions on the basis of Hafiz-e-Qura'an, Fine Arts, Overseas Pakistanis, Disability, Sports, Kinship, Minorities and Co-curricular activities including Debates (English, Urdu and Punjabi), Drama, Music, Rovers Club, Qiraat and Naat.
