President Asif Ali Zaradri on Thursday will chair a meeting on the issue of circular debt amounting to billions of rupees pertaining to the Ministry of Water and Power, it is learnt. According to the sources, Federal Minister for Water and Power Naveed Qamar, Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and other officers of concerned department would attend the meeting.
Sources said that the President would discuss the issue of circular debt and receivables of billions of rupees from various private sector organisations, provincial and AJK governments. The President will also discuss projects regarding energy sector as well as shortfall of power and load shedding in the country.
