The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) CBA union late Wednesday night ended the siege of the head office, after Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan and Commissioner Karachi talked to the workers, Aaj News reported.
Following the meeting with the Home Minister, CBA Chairman Ikhlaq Ahmed said that the union leaders had ended their siege, but their sit-in would continue.
All obstacles outside the head office were also removed. Ahmed said if their demands for reinstatement of KESC employees were not met, they will proceed with their next strategy. Meanwhile, Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has said that justice will be done with the KESC employees.
