Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 113,764 tonnes of cargo including 89,934 tonnes of import cargo, 23,830 tonnes of export cargo and 3,816 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The total import cargo of 89,934 tonnes comprised of 23,788 tonnes of containerised cargo; 9,840 tonnes of general cargo; 4,743 tonnes of yellow peas and 51,563 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 23,830 tonnes comprised of 17,710 tonnes of containerised cargo; 553 tonnes of general cargo; 2,067 tonnes of bulk cargo: 1,728 tonnes of cement; 339 tonnes of wheat and 3,500 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Nine ships namely MT Lahore, Primo Stealth, Capricornus Leader, Uru Bhum, Salis, Bunga Raya Lima, OOCL Dalian, APL Shenzhen and Rosy Falcon carrying crude oil tanker, LSFO, vehicles carrier, five container ships and wheat carrier respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. Eight vessels viz Salis, Hyundai Freedom, Hanjin Rome, Huga SW, Aqua Blue, PVT Dolphin Freja Ocean and Resolve carrying three container ships, two steel carriers, two oil tankers and car carrier are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Hanjin Rome, Lindava, Huga SW, Aqua Blue and Freja Ocean carrying two container ships, two steel carriers and oil tanker expected to sail on Tuesday, while another ship namely Hyundai Freedom with container ship is expected to sail on Wednesday.
Two vessels viz APL Cyprine and Wan Hai-603 carrying two container ships are due to arrive on Tuesday, while seven vessels viz Freedom, Ozay-5, Borneo Pioneer, Norca, Hanjin Monaco, Jakarta Express and Royal Peridot carrying car carrier, two ethanol carriers, mogas, two container ships and chemicals carrier respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIMThe Port Qasim handled 28,607 tonnes of cargo includes 26,656 tonnes of import cargo and 1,951 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The total import cargo of 26,656 tonnes includes 12,299 tonnes of palm oil; 10,750 tonnes of coal and 3,607 tonnes of chemicals. The total export cargo includes 1,951 tonnes of wheat. Two ships namely MV Amagi Galaxy and MT Catterick sailed out to sea on Tuesday.
A total number of four vessels MV Amagi Galaxy, MT Catterick, MV Wales-II and MT Theoforos-I are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, palm oil, chemicals and coal respectively during last 24 hours. Five ships namely CSAV Appennini, Sealand Washington, Kassos, Al-Salam-II and Royal Crystal carrying containers, furnace oil, diesel oil and palm oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
A total number of five vessels viz CV CSAV Appennini, CV Sealand Washington, CV Pago, MT Royal Crystal and MT Kassos carrying containers, palm oil and furnace oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Three ships namely CV Ikaruga, CV CMA CGM Bellini and MT Nelson carrying containers and cement are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
A total number of three ships namely CV APL Chile, MV Alaska-II and MT Karachi with containers, cement and furnace oil are also due to arrive at Port Qasim.
