The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and Diverse Learning Concepts (DLC) Worldwide on Saturday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide the country with leading edge human resource.
Senior Vice President LCCI, Sheikh Mohammad Arshad signed the MoU on behalf of the LCCI while Chief Executive Officer, Alan Linden represented DLC Worlwide. Saqib Hanif, Director DLC Worldwide, Ayub Ghauri, Senior Vice President NetSol Technologies, and PIAF's former Chairman Irfan Qaiser Sheikh also spoke on the occasion.
Under the MoU, LCCI and DLC Worldwide will collaborate in ensuring quality technical training in the field of banking, logistics, operational management, sales and marketing management, logistic consultancy and human resource development to public, private and development sectors for the benefit of business community. Both the LCCI and DLC Worldwide will also cooperate and collaborate to enhance the capability of their respective organisations.
Linden said that the training programmes have been carefully designed by subject experts and practitioners from respective disciplines within the corporate, private and public sectors. He said that the DLC Worldwide (Pakistan) would use its expertise to address the growing need for professional education in the region.
In the first phase, programmes will be conducted in Lahore while in second phase, such programmes would also be arranged in other cities of the country, he said. Pakistan has seen rapid growth in its education sector but still lacks in professional career development courses. DLC Worldwide (Pakistan) caters to the real time need analysis of human resource development.
The training programmes, written by DLC Worldwide (Pakistan) provide fundamental customised skills to all industry sectors. It would also ensure sustainable development through indigenous means thereby reducing the dependence upon external resources. The DLC Worldwide (Pakistan)'s philosophy is to equip all students with the necessary skills required to compete and succeed in a modern day commercial environment. He said that the mission of DLC Worldwide (Pakistan) is not just human resource placement but a complete package in Human Resource Development.
Senior Vice President LCCI, Sheikh Mohammad Arshad said that the LCCI would facilitate DLC Worldwide in achieving all its objectives. The MoU would help solve issues being faced by the trade and industry regarding availability of quality human resources, he added.
