Professor Manzoor appointed UVAS professor emeritus

The syndicate of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) has appointed former Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Manzoor Ahmad to the status of professor emeritus. Dr Manzoor Ahmad performed his academic and research duties for more than last five decades in the area of animal reproduction. His conferment of professor emeritus status would be for lifetime.
He worked as consultant in various international organisations including FAO, UNDP and GTZ. He is considered as a pioneer in development of animal reproduction and artificial insemination services in Pakistan. He earned his MS and PhD from Washington State University, USA and he is Fellow of Royal Veterinary College Sweden. His research work in improvement in Buffalo Reproduction is widely cited. He has produced several PhD and Master Students.
UVAS Vice chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz congratulated the incumbent and wished that he would significantly be contributing in the professional competency and uplifts the livestock sector. He would be working on the revival of Pakistan Society of Animal Reproduction for which he is founder president and lifetime patron in chief.
