Seoul shares skid

Seoul shares fell 2.2 percent on Tuesday, the biggest daily fall in more than a month, as foreigners shifted to net selling and key exporters such as Hynix Semiconductor Inc plunged amid deepening concerns of a European debt crisis. The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) dropped for a third consecutive session to close at 2,109.73, its lowest close so far this month. It was the biggest daily percentage decline since May 26.
KOSPI 200 September futures ended down 7.40 points at 277.05 points and the KOSPI 200 spot index fell 6.56 points to 275.90. The junior Kosdaq market ended down 1.55 percent at 490.63.Shares of flat-screen maker LG Display dropped 3.7 percent and Hynix Semiconductor fell 4.2 percent. Shares in Samsung Electronics skidded 1.7 percent. Korea Aerospace Industries rose 2.8 percent.
