First of all the glaring drawback in any serious study, analysis is the absence of the reliable data. It has been acknowledged that the statics available in any field are not reliable be it the production figure and other aspects of marketing, exports and imports etc: The existence of parallel economy is the outcome and proof of the above statement.
Though research department has set some objective, such as; vision: "To be the preference in value Optimisation of Business." Mission: "To develop strategic leaders through imparting quality education and training in management accounting to continually set and upgrade professional standards and conduct research, bringing value-addition to the economy."
Care values: "Integrity, Competence, Pro-activity and Innovation." The publication under review is about Sugar Industry and the title aptly describes it. The sub-title further specify the area of investigation as "An Exclusive Comparative Review of Sugar Industry in Pakistan and India."
It is divided in three chapters, the first one is the title, the second the sub-title and the third one is sugar industry in other SAARC countries. If facts, figures and other statics is accepted as 'half truth' it should also be accepted as the only source to rely upon. There is no other way. With the limitation mentioned the researchers have done a good job and give a vivid picture regarding all the aspects of sugar industry in SAARC region.
