The Karachi Port handled 136,292 tonnes of cargo including 89,216 tonnes of import cargo, 47,076 tonnes of export cargo and 5,678 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 89,216 tonnes comprised of 22,314 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,613 tonnes of general cargo; 11,000 tonnes of coal and 54,289 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 47,076 tonnes comprised of 44,832 tonnes of containerised cargo; 252 tonnes of general cargo; 1,992 tonnes of bulk cargo: 629 tonnes of cement; 1,222 tonnes of wheat and 141 tonnes of general cargo. Four ships namely Celesta, Cap Gabriel, King Brave and BBC Tennesses carrying high speed diesel oil, container ship and two general cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Four vessels viz Wan Hai-602, President Truman, Hanjin Berlin and Malhari carrying three container ships and oil tanker respectively are currently at the berths. Six ships namely CSL Ride, Hanjin Berlin, Wan Hai-602, J.Friend, Malhari and Remi with three container ships, general cargo ship, oil tanker and LSFO respectively expected to sail on Friday, while three ships namely Norca, Trave Trader and Mahmut Saka with oil tanker, general cargo ship and wheat carrier respectively are expected to sail on Saturday.
Five vessels viz APL Guangzhou, Emirates Kabir, OOCL Charleston, Sea Wave and Siam Sapphire with three container ships, cement carrier and wheat carrier due to arrive on Friday, while seven vessels viz Shako Maru, Kota Azam, Northern Valour, Northern Valence, Alliance Charleston, Tabemacle Prince and D D Vogue carrying ethanol carrier, three container ships, vehicles carrier, cement carrier and steel & general cargo ship respectively are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 109,755 tonnes of cargo includes 86,801 tonnes of import cargo, 22,954 tonnes of export cargo and 2,480 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Friday.
The total import cargo of 86,801 tonnes includes 49,407 tonnes of furnace oil; 9,000 tonnes of palm oil; 8,725 tonnes of canola seeds and 19,669 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 22,954 tonnes includes 3,100 tonnes of wheat; 3,978 tonnes of cement and 15,876 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV OOCL Kobe, CV CSAV Cant Brain, MT Chembulk Tortola and MT Zaliv Vostok sailed out to sea on Friday morning. A total number of nine vessels viz CV Nora Maersk, CV OOCL Kobe, CV CSAV Cant Brain, Tamil Nadu, MV Acacia-N, MV Oriental-II, MV Ataman, MT Chembulk Tortola and MT Zaliv Vostok are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, canola seeds, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely MSC Glory, Sea Lion, Leader and SC Tyan Jin carrying container ship, furnace oil, diesel oil and palm oil are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three vessels viz CV MSC Glory, MT Sea Lion and MT SC Tyan Jin carrying container ship, furnace oil and palm oil are expected to take berths at Containers Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Friday, while another container ship namely CV MSC Sierra is due to arrive on the same day. Two container ships namely CV MSC Magali and CV Angles are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Saturday.
