HYDERABAD: The Anti Terrorist Court here Tuesday granted 14 day physical remand of an accused in a murder case and handed over to the police for investigation of an armed attack on an under trial prisoner in Hyderabad Session Court premises few days ago.
The Police arrested the accused Lal Bux Zardari s/o Budho Zardari in Crime No: 88/2017 under Sections 302, 34 PPC, 6/7 ATA and produced him before the Judge Special Anti-Terrorism Court Hyderabad with plea of 14 days custody remand.
According to Police, accused Lal Bux Zardari shot and critically wounded an under trial prisoner Muharram Ali in the premises of District and Sessions Court Hyderabad few days back where he was brought for production in the court for hearing. Accused Lal Bux Zardari managed escape from the spot while injured Muharram Ali succumbed to his injuries in the hospital on the next day.
On serious notice of the District and Session Judge Hyderabad, the SSP Syed Peer Muhammad Shah had placed entire Police team including Inspector and two Assistant Sub-Inspectors under suspension and formed a special team for the arrest of escaped shooter Lal Bux who was later arrested within 72 hours.
After taking custody remand, the Police team has started interrogation from the accused person, the Police informed.
