One person was killed and 61 injured after 127 vehicles piled up Saturday on the main highway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi because of heavy fog, police said. More than 200 ambulances and civil defence vehicles teamed up with the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces to clear the wreckage, said Hussein al-Harthi, head of Abu Dhabi's traffic department. The busy highway was closed for several hours.
