Equities on Friday moved both ways on the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) and finally ended in positive zone amid descending transaction volume on account of lacking interest on the part of investors. The LSE-25 index marginally declined by 4.89 points and was ended at 3236.69 points against 3241.58 points of Thursday, while trading turnover was reduced to 2.265 million shares, as compared to last day volume of 2.469 million shares.
The market opened on depressed note but after showing marginal decline recovered the day loss. As soon as the second session commenced, the market once again fell down due to selling pressure in oil sector shares including Pakistan Oil Fields, OGDC, Attock Refinery, and some other blue chips like National Bank, Bank Alfalah, Bank of Punjab, Thal Limited and Adamjee Insurance.
