I would take to this opportunity to extend my heartiest felicitations to the Government, brotherly Peoples, High Commissioner and H.E Ruhal Alam Siddiqui Deputy High Commissioner of Republic of Bangladesh on occasion of their 40th anniversary of Independence Day on 26th March 2011.
It is imperative to note that Pakistan and Bangladesh played a vital role in SAARC in strengthening the politico economic relations among the Members countries, which ensures the peace, progress and prosperity in the South East Asian region.
Pakistan and Bangladesh as member of Organisation of Islamic Conference are already working in close co-operation for the promotion of science, technology, industrialisation, trade and economy in Muslim countries. From OIC platform both the countries have sent the messages to the world community that Islam is a religion of peace and brotherhood and the Muslim Ummah strongly condemn the terrorism wherever it is occurring. Pakistan and Bangladesh share a common destiny as the two important upcoming forces in South Asia and we look forward to meaningful and long lasting relations between the two countries in a wide ranging field of relations.
