Published Updated

Hard red winter wheat basis bids were holding unchanged Friday in several US Plains locations. Railcar offers were light and mills were reported well stocked. Protein premiums on railcar hard red winter wheat to and through Kansas City rose 4 cents a bushel for 11.40 percent protein wheat supplies.
Kansas City Board of Trade HRW wheat futures ended sharply higher on Thursday, with the May up 23-1/4 cents at $8.53-1/4 a bushel. Japan bought 103,125 tonnes of food wheat from the United States and Australia.
