National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) celebrated Pakistan Day by organising Motorway Police Solidarity Bikers Rally and making special arrangements and holding special ceremonies at Guidance Center Lahore, Training Institute Sheikhupura and on all the National Highways and Motorways.
A '23rd March 2011 Motorway Police Heavy Bike Solidarity Rally' from Lahore to Bhera, Faisalabad to Bhera and Islamabad to Bhera was organised under the personal supervision of IG Motorway Dr Wasim Kausar. A special ceremony also held at Motorway Police Training Institute in which national flag was hoisted, national songs were sung, different speeches were made by the trainees, shields were distributed among the officers for their special performance and floral wreaths were placed on the monuments of Martyrs of Motorway Police by DIG N-5 Central Syed Ibne Hussain.
Similarly packets of sweets imprinted with Pakistan Day and Road Safety slogans were distributed among the commuters at Guidance Centre Lahore and at different places on national highways. Banners regarding 23rd March were displayed at all the toll plazas of N-5 Central Zone. Respective sector commander personally monitored the arrangements of 23rd of March.
IG NH&MP Dr Wasim Kausar, DIG N-5 Central Syed Ibne Hussain and Commandant Training Institute SSP Jahanzeib Khan Jogezai offered congratulations to all the officers of NH&MP. The Officers of Motorway Police were asked to make firm resolution on this historic day to serve the nation round the clock and make their country an epicentre of world concentration.
