The world leading Enzyme producer - Genencor participated in a seminar on 'Sustainable textile processing' organised by the Mukashi Associates a sole distributor of Genencor, at a local hotel. Tan Soo Hwee, Sales Director, Textile Enzymes Asia Pacific of Genencor presented a technical paper on "Together We Can...Create sustainable textiles and fashion a lighter, brighter world".
He said, at Genencor, we help our customers develop more efficient and environmental friendly textile processing methods from pre-treatment through biofinishing. The company is committed to developing innovative renewable enzyme products and processes that will carry the textile industry far into the future. "It is our belief that Genencor enzymes will change the face of the textile industry and its impact on the environment in a fundamental way. And we look forward to you being part of that future with us" said Hwee.
Khalid Mukashi, Chairmen Mukashi Associates presented a brief note on Pakistan Textile Industry. He said, that "In current scenario, Pakistan's textile industry is facing increased shortage of water and energy resources; hence there is now a far greater reason why we should revert to sustainable alternates for textile processing. This could enable our Industry to explore new terrain of textile technology for conserving our much needed energy resources, water and environment. In association with Genencor, Mukashi has taken initiative to play its role in introducing sustainable product range to Pakistan textile industry."
Naeem Afzal, Country Manger of Genencor presented a brief introduction of the products. He said, Genencor has devoted years of research to developing a textile products line that adds value and ensures high quality fabrics. From Amylases for desiring to cataleases that remove peroxide residues after bleaching to ensure more consistent, true-colour dyeing to cellulases and proteases that help designers and processors create a variety of fashionable fabric finishes, Genencor has a comprehensive enzyme product customer demands. Jamshed Baig, Regional Manager of Mukashi Associates presented a thank you note. Over 110 delegates from renowned textile mills participated in this seminar.-PR
