At least four persons were killed in separate incidents at different parts of metropolis on Friday. According to police, Raja Tahir, 30, son of Abdul Majeed was targeted by unknown assailants when he was sitting with his friend near Marhaba Medical Store, resultantly he sustained fatal bullets wounds and died on spot.
After committing this heinous crime, the perpetrators managed to flee from the scene, leaving Raja in a pool of blood and his friend in shock. Police later shifted his body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities. Police said the motive behind the murder of the victim, who arrived in Karachi from Rawalpindi few months ago, is yet to be ascertained and opined that personal enmity might be involved in this incident.
In another incident, unknown armed attacker opened indiscriminate fire at Sarzameen, 32 son of Mian Jan at Khameeso Goth in the jurisdiction of New Karachi Industrial Area police station. Police said the victim, who received multiple shots and succumbed to his injuries in the private hospital, was going to meet his in-laws at Khameeso Goth after performing Jummah prayers.
Police further said the victim, who reached Karachi some two days back, hailed from Mohmand Agency Khyber Pukhtoonkwah. The police had finally come to a conclusion that personal enmity was behind the incident. No case was registered till filing of the report. A tortured body of youth was found at Noor Mohammad Goth in the limits of Manghopir police station.
The identity of victim is yet to be ascertained, while police found his body from bushes at Noor Mohammad Goth. Police said the victim, who also received two bullets wounds on his chest, had several torture marks. They said that unidentified offenders, who kidnapped him before murder, threw his body in bushes and managed to flee from the scene. His body was shifted to ASH for autopsy and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification.
In another incident, a father of three children committed suicide in his house located at Zia Colony in the limits of Korangi police station. Police said the victim, who was identified as Bobby Babar, 31 son of Babar Danial, was the resident of sector 32-A Zia Colony Korangi. They said the deceased shot himself and died on the spot. His body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities.
