Jalali ends Lahore sit-in after negotiation with Punjab govt

The protesters of Tehreek Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah faction, led by Ashraf Asif Jalali, concluded their protest on Friday night after their leader and others reached an agreement with the Punjab government.
According to local media reports, Jalali asked the protesters to call off the sit-in after successful negotiation with the government. It was agreed between the two parties that a committee would be formed to scrutinize into the matter of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah’s resignation.
Speaking at a press conference following the agreement with the government, Jalali thanked his followers for their support in protesting for seven days. Jalali also said that he was giving the government a month and advised his followers to stay alert for another sit-in if the agreement was not acted upon in the given time.
