KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Thursday at 21,378.45 points with a positive change of 222.27 and volume of 114,283,300 shares. High and Low were 21,378.45 and 21,157.04 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 21 were up, 8 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 180,780,060 shares. Total companies traded were 353 of which 189 were positive, 143 were negative and 21 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 21,334,500 shares. It was followed by Oil and Gas Marketing Companies with a total traded volume of 21,008,600 shares.

The top three advancers were Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 500 and price per share of 2,450 (84.50), Khyber Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 200 and price per share of 1,499 (64.10), Millat Tractors Limited with a volume of 53,280 and price per share of 1,161.84 (40.85).

The top three decliners were Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 80 and price per share of 1,441.05 (-49.95), Atlas Battery Ltd with a volume of 4,900 and price per share of 540.06 (-28.42), Exide Pakistan Limited with a volume of 3,500 and price per share of 491.15 (-25.85).
