Pakistan People's Party Sherpao (PPP-S), Chairman and former Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao on Sunday welcomed the announcement of joint commission between Pakistan and Afghanistan and termed it as a good omen to enhance mutual consultation in fight against terrorism and militancy.
Talking to reporters here, the veteran politician said that it would give impetus to the on-going engagement process and promote understanding for peace and security in the entire region.
He said the commission would enhance the process of consultation between the two countries and it would also remove the misconceptions. The commission would build trust to achieve our shared objectives to a great extent, he added. Aftab Sherpao said that peace in Afghanistan is vital for the stability of the entire region. He said that Pakistan would be largely benefited if peace was established in the war torn country of Afghanistan.
