The Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh Ambassador Mohammed Mijarul Quayes, donated three paintings of Mahmudul Haque, one of the top contemporary painters of Bangladesh for the flood victims.
The auction of the three paintings ceremony was held followed by dinner at Bangladesh house hosted by the Deputy High Commissioner Ruhul Siddiqui, in his short speech Deputy High Commissioner said that Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Ambassador Mohammed Mijarul Quayes, during his recent official tour of Pakistan last year visited some of the relief camps for the flood victims in Karachi, as a goodwill gesture from him, he announced to donate the sale proceeds of three paintings of Mahmudul Haque, a prominent painters of Bangladesh, three prominent businessmen Majyd Aziz, Wahab Jaffer and Hussain Quassim, take part in auction and Rs 3,40,000 money raise for flood victims. Ruhul, thanked the businessmen to join the noble efforts of Bangladesh Foreign Secretary for mitigation of the sufferings of the flood affected brotherly people of Pakistan by participating in the auction of the painting.-PR
