Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) has announced to resume the purchase of "Phutti" (raw-cotton) from the growers from January 27(today) on the assurance of the member (Policy) of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday.
Israr Rauf member (Policy) has assured to the PCGA delegation headed by Masood 'A Majeed Chairman of PCGA called on him along with two parliamentarian Chaudhry Saud Majid and Mian Baleegh-ur-Rehman on Wednesday. He listened their grievances and reservations patiently and promised to issue a new SRO of clarification to remove ambiguities about the SRO-1161 and a procedure would be settled for ginners so that they easily purchase the raw cotton from the growers. He also promised to defer the implementation on SRO-1161 till March 2011.
