Copper prices closed higher on Wednesday as a steadier tone in US equities enabled the metal to recover from Tuesday's one-month low, but Asian demand jitters held the gains in check. COMEX March copper on the New York Mercantile Exchange settled up 4.10 cents at $4.2670 per lb, near the upper end of its $4.2240 to $4.2745 session range.
