EC issues directives for holding by-poll in PK 87

Provincial Election Commissioner on Wednesday issued directives to the presiding officers for taking all necessary measures to ensure transparency and neutrality in the by-election to be held on January 29 in constituency PK 87 Shangla.
He directed the presiding officers to open the sealed bags of ballot papers in front of polling agents and obtain signatures of polling agents on the ballot papers account form at correct place. The ballot papers must be counted in front of the poling agents after whom they wont be allowed to leave the poling station, he said. Election Commissioner asked the presiding officers to strictly abide by the rules and regulations of Election Commission.
