Reviewing oil pricing mechanism: Minister convenes meeting of Parliamentary Committee
Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Syed Naveed Qamar has convened meeting of a " Parliamentary Committee to Review Petroleum Pricing Mechanism" on Tuesday. The committee will look into the existing petroleum pricing mechanism and discuss ways and means if the pricing system can be improved further, says a press release.
In the backdrop of ongoing consultation process by the government with parliamentary parties, a "Parliamentary Committee to Review Petroleum Pricing Mechanism" has been constituted which will meet for the first time on Tuesday at the Parliament House.
Syed Naveed Qamar will be the convenor of the Parliamentary Committee.
Other parliamentarians, who have been nominated as members of the committee by their respective parties are, MNA Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi, MNA Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan (PML-N), MNA Sardar Khan Bahadar Seehar,(PML-Q), MNA Suhail Mansoor (MQM) , MNA Munir Ahmad Orakzai, (FATA), Senator Haji Ghulam Ali(JUI-F), Haji Adeel Khan(ANP) Besides, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, Secretary Finance, Secretary Petroleum and DG (Oil) will be other members of the committee.
