KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) Tuesday ordered retrial of Shahzeb Khan murder case by revoking punishment given to Shahrukh Jatoi and others for their allegedly involved in the case.
The SHC heard a review petition seeking retrial of the case filed by accused Shahrukh's counsel.
His counsel pleaded that murder of Shahzeb was a personal enmity and therefore the case should not be tried in the terrorism court.
The Sindh prosecutor general informed the court that the SHC had not approved pardon given by the parents of late Shahzeb and a final decision to this effect had to be made.
Earlier, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had awarded death penalty to Shahrukh Jatoi and Siraj Talpur for the murder of Shahzeb and other accused in the case were sentenced for life.
