The District Planning and Design Committee has allowed commercial activities on 37 roads/segments of roads, situated in the controlled areas of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), besides notifying another 24 roads where future commercialisation has not been permitted.
However, on the roads falling in proposed Central Business District (CBD) and under Lahore Urban Regeneration Studies (LURS Area), the Interim Policy issued in November 2010 and April 2011 shall remain applicable till the approval of CBD area development plans, disclosed a LDA's spokesperson here on Saturday. Also, 24 frozen roads/segments of roads are not allowed for change of land use.
