Development schemes: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government accused of creating hurdles

Chairman, anti-graft caucus, former federal minister Nawabzada Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti has accused the provincial government and influential of district Mardan of creating hurdles in the developmental schemes initiated under his MNA fund.
Addressing Sui gas supply to Nawai Kalay, district Mardan, he said he had always served the poverty-stricken people of the area and vowed to continue his efforts for their welfare in future. Hoti expressed grave concerns over police's raid at the residence of Nabeel Gabool and said the resignation was a wise decision as he was unable to resolve the problems of his electorates even in the capacity of minister.
He denounced termination of members of Zakat committees over attending his rally against price hike, unemployment and lawlessness in the province. The move was tantamount to curb freedom of expression, he said. He warned that there will emerge great reaction of masses against the indifferent attitude of Mardan Police, adding they should think twice before taking such atrocious action.
Chairman anti-graft caucus condemned misbehaviour of police against the masses and warned that continuation of the practice will compel people to take law into their hands. He reiterated that he would play his role for provision of protection to masses, adding he had stepped down for the sake of poverty-hit people.
