Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday took strong exception to the attack on tubewell located in the land owned by party's chief Imran Khan at Bani Gala. The PTI sources said that some unknown persons last midnight attacked the tubewell situated near Khan's residence and owned by him and ruined its entire electricity system.
Following the incident, Safeer Khan who is manager of the Imran Khan's residence at Bani Gala along with PTI district organiser Amir Mughal lodged an FIR against unidentified accused at Bara Kaho Police Station. Mughal vowed that the party can't be cowed down by such acts of 'fascism' and will keep on exposing political and financial shenanigans.
He said that the damage done to the tubewell was the tacit instance of the alleged 'land mafia' who had grabbed CDA's land forcibly in Bani Gala and was retrieved by the government after the Supreme Court intervention following the Chairman PTI's complaint a few days ago.
Mughal said that the PTI workers know how to respond to such incident, however the PTI chief wanted a legal recourse to the matter. He said that a complaint of the incident was lodged at Bara Kaho Police Station for taking legal action against the perpetrators belonged to the alleged 'land mafia'.
"We will, however, request the Supreme Court to monitor the action, as the accused belonged to a powerful 'land mafia' who are exercising influence on the police to push the issue under the rug", he added. He said the action once again proved that the land mafia was enjoying official protection and they believe in browbeating the people, adding that their illegalities and high-handedness would be exposed at all cost.
