Federal Minister for Industries and Production Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani on Saturday expressed satisfaction that Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) will soon be turned into a profitable organisation once again. He appreciated the PSMs' present management policies and efforts leading to turn-around of the Mills, the Minister said while speaking at a meeting of National Standing Committee on Industries and Production here at Pakistan Steels' Operation building.
He also rejected the reports about down/right sizing in the Mills and urged the employees to make further sincere and serious efforts to increase the production and profitability of the organisation. Chairman of the Committee Ghous Bakhsh Mahar while presiding over the meeting raised many questions about PSMs present status and the future projects for its revival and strengthening. He positively noted that through better policies and with the best use of the employees, the production and profitability of PSM would improve.
