The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday sought comments from Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Secretary Establishment, Secretary Finance and President of Zari Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) over observance of rules and regulations in the appointments made to high offices of ZTBL.
The court also sought comments from the alleged illegal appointees within two weeks. A single member bench comprising Justice Anwar Kasi resumed hearing of a petition of Ghazanfar Ali, Assistant Vice President ZTBL, against alleged violations of relevant rules.
Qazi Ahmed Naeem Qureshi, the counsel, claimed that President ZTBL hired services of eleven blue eyed on high salaries by neglecting rules and regulations of the State Bank and the Establishment Division. After hearing his arguments, the bench adjourned hearing for two weeks with direction to the SBP Governor, President ZTBL and others to submit their comments over appointment's issue.
