Grams prices tended higher on the wholesale grains and seed market on Tuesday as buyers showed fresh interest in purchasing, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old was quoted at Rs 2645-2650 and new quality was registered at Rs 2660-2665, other items did not move any side in process of trading, they said.
On the grams side, grams Australia gained Rs 100 to Rs 5300-5500 due to strong demand amid short supply. Gram dal Australia followed the same pattern, rising by Rs 150 to Rs 6300-6500. Grams 50x50 was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 5700-5900. Yellow peas Canada rose by Rs 75 to Rs 3250-3400. Yellow peas dal Canada picked up the same amount to Rs 3600-3750, yellow peas Ukrain followed the same path, gaining the same amount to Rs 3150-3300 and yellow peas dal Ukrain gained also the same amount to Rs 3550-3700, they said. On the seed side cottonseeds oilcake with bag low type rose by Rs 10 to Rs 1270 and better type, however, shed Rs 5 to Rs 1295, they said.
