The Lahore High Court here Monday sought reply from federal law secretary Pir Masood Chishti in a writ petition questioning his appointment. The petitioner Barrister Javed Iqbal Jaffrey contended that the government appointed Chishti on a two-year contract in violation of the rules. He said the appointment was a glaring example of nepotism, as he was a junior to federal law minister Babar Awan.
