Private schools: Regulatory Authority being set up for controlling fees

Provincial Minister for Education Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman has said that Regulatory Authority is being set up for controlling the fees of private schools for which legislation will soon be made. He was addressing the inaugural function of Victory School System Ghaziabad here on Sunday.
Provincial minister said that all schools of the province are being made English medium during next educational year. He said that the poorest children will get education at par with Aitchison in Daanish Schools, which will not only remove the deprivations from the society but the country would be put on the road to progress and prosperity.
The minister further said that the Chief Minister Punjab has made promotion of education a top priority and all possible steps are being taken for provision of modern education and enhancing the standard of government educational institutions.
Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman said that the previous government spent huge amounts on personal publicity instead of giving practical shape to the project of Parha Likha Punjab whereas present Punjab government is spending more than 60 percent budget on education as compared to the previous government for the last three years. He said that government is planning to improve education according to the demands of 21st Century.
Provincial Minister said that modern computer labs and other educational facilities being provided to thousand schools in the province. He said that teachers were recruited purely on merit basis and were imparted modern training. MNA Mian Marghoob Ahmad and MPA Allah Rakha also addressed the function. They thanked the administration of the Victory School System for providing education to the children of the area on lesser fees.
